Mobility/Balance Programs for the Elderly

As we age we naturally lose the strength in our muscles, our joints deteriorate and we lose our ability to balance properly. Whilst these processes do naturally occur with age there is a lot we can do to reverse this process and prevent this from deteriorating quickly. A specific exercise program put together by a Physiotherapist will focus on gently strengthening important muscles and improving balance so as to prevent falls in the home and community. The Physiotherapists at Brighton Beach Physiotherapy will gladly put together such a program as well as teach you techniques and strategies of what you should do in the unfortunate event of a fall.
